One of the aspects that has most interested me in my work with wire sculpture has been the way that the line responds to different qualities of light. For a long time, I was interested in creating lighting pieces that explored this idea. While traveling, I found inspiration in eclectic and often remote corners of the world. The glittering lamps of North Africa stunned me with their lustrous glow and intricate delicacy. The graceful movement of Art Nouveau iron-work in France captivated me as well. Beginning with these influences, I decided to create a series of interchangeable illuminated wall panels that were focused on a simple, delicate beauty of nature.

I am busy at work developing new work for this series, including pendant lamps, chandeliers, sconces, and table lamps. More information about this project can be found at:
